Think you can achieve success on your own? Who do you need around you to maximize your chances of success?
We are in the 9th stage according to Napoleon Hill, author of Think and Grow Rich: the Power of the Master Mind. Everyone who has had great successes in life will tell you they did not do it alone. Everything we want to do, whether it’s getting back into shape, getting a promotion, starting a business … someone has succeeded at it before us.
“The Master Mind is the pooling of knowledge and efforts, in a spirit of harmony, of two or more people, with a view to achieving a specific goal” – Sharon Lechter. The power to which we are referring to here is not a dictatorial power but rather a power to share collective thoughts and to share knowledge.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SOURCES OF KNOWLEDGE?
- Infinite Intelligence: Creative Imagination (see the 5th stage of Napoleon Hill’s success).
- Experience: from education and work.
- Experimentation and research: finding case histories and experimenting on taking the path less travelled.
Who do you know that has the knowledge you need? Who do they know?
Who is working on the same goal as you?
There are two benefits to holding these meetings. The first is obvious, that this information will make you move more rapidly towards success. The second is to be part of a group that has the same purpose as you. The strength of many people working towards the same goal is the foundation of all the great successes..
“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” – African Proverb.
If you are not ready to start a group, look around to see what groups are already out there. Which one answers most what you need? You should look for the following four criteria when choosing your group: confidentiality, commitment, collaboration and connection.
That’s how Weight Watchers started!
Have fun, and do not forget: it’s the journey that counts.
